Who we are

Bridging Cultural Gaps (BCG) is a nonprofit organization established by a group of immigrants, and has
been serving the disadvantaged and alienated immigrant and refugee population in the King County
area. The board and staff reflect the community and demonstrate the required professional, cultural
and linguistic skills needed to effectively assist East African immigrants and refugees.

Vision: Bridging Cultural Gaps has a vision of seeing East African immigrants and refugees in the King
County area become empowered, politically engaged, and educationally successful community
members who contribute to the well-being of the County’s population.

Mission: Empowering immigrant and refugee families through the strength of their own cultures.
